2 haus continuuu'd (2 houses con't)

so ... we continue from the last blog...

vv. 13-14 - there are 2 ways you can go.

narrow

jesus in his 'can't beat around the bush because i'm no good at it' style says there is a way to destruction and a way of life.
jesus entire sermon is about these next verses. don't live like this ... live like this! there is a way that destroys and a way that gives life.
jesus is getting as simple as he can. but the choice isn't easy.

most are going the wide way ... its easy. everyone's doing it.
but the narrow way - the Kingdom way - is narrow - it's hard, not very many people are opting for this choice ... but its the choice that brings life.

rick warren just tweeted this today ...
"Every hurt will MAKE you or BREAK you based on your response.Stepping stone or stumbling block? Better or bitter? U choose."
this quote is a Kingdom quote. its hard. but the Kingdom way isn't easy, jesus is very clear here: it is the best possible way to live. it is life. it is ultimate reality.
the kingdom way is a daily process of growing and failing and persevering all along the way. there is this sense in the Sermon on the Mount that the Kingdom is full of people who fail along the way but get back up and choose life.

What have you found to be the hardest part about following Jesus?
What have been some 'narrow' choices you have had to make recently?
