closing out Jesus message from matt. 5-7: just a few thoughts about ch. 7 before we conclude with jesus' warning in vv. 24-29.vv. 1-5
don't judge. if you choose to judge ... the way, the style, the attitude and the heart that you choose to judge with will be the same way you will be judged.
the standards you hold others to, you will be expected the same.
don't be saying to an other believer, 'this is what's wrong with you' but instead make right with God what is wrong with yourself. then go and help your sister with the much smaller problem that they have compared to yours. log out then speck out.
remember jesus said, 'if you don't listen and obey what i'm telling you ... you will be ruined.'
v. 6 - protect yourself from toxic people. people that are toxic and given the opportunity they will hurt you again. freedom from judgement doesn't mean that can't also be free from abuse, in what ever form it comes. participation in the Kingdom requires discernment and protection from those who are more than willing to exploit our mercy. dogs and pigs are what they are and tearing you apart is their goal.

vv.7-11 - are you hungry? for food? ask for it. what kind of father would give a hungry child that which would hurt them more?
are you hungry? hungry for God? what kind of a Father would give one of His children less than all of Himself? unless you're asking with another motive other than knowing more of God.

v. 12 - you know how you like to be treated, talked to, talked about, encouraged etc. DO that for others. this is gold, no?
